Jennifer Kiellach, OT, Owner/Director

Jennifer worked in the Sarasota County School district for over 10 years. In 2007, she was recognized by Child Connections magazine as a Hometown Hero for her dedication to educating parents and teachers statewide on the role of sensory processing and the importance of sensory diets. In 2008, she was honored as a Pillar Nominee for outstanding contributions to education by the Sarasota County School board. The “Sensory Room Kids Get In Sync”, by Abigail Grace Kroneberger, who was in second grade when she wrote it, is dedicated to Jennifer and was published in January, 2008. The book highlights the morning sensory program implemented by Jennifer at Fruitville Elementary school. In 2004, Ms. Kiellach was named “Teacher of the Year” at Oak Park School. She has presented numerous workshops both county and statewide, most notably for the Florida Department of Education “Weekend With the Experts”. She has done consulting work in both Highlands and Charlotte counties to provide specialty programming related to sensory processing for children with ASD in those districts. Jennifer has served as a cabin therapist at Camp Avanti in Hudson, Wisconsin since 2006. Camp Avanti is a unique summer program that combines a typical camp experience with an intensive Sensory Integration approach for children with severe sensory processing difficulties. Prior to becoming an OT, Jennifer attended Eckerd College in St Petersburg, Florida where she majored in International Business. Her business career focused on international marketing and research and eventually led to a job recruiting foreign educated occupational and physical therapists to come and work in the United States. It was during this time that she was introduced to OT. She then returned to school to obtain her Master’s degree in Health Sciences at the University of Florida. With Sensory Solutions, she brings together both her business background and her OT experience to move forward with her dream of creating a sensory clinic that provides quality movement experiences for all!
